Capcom: Frank West was too much work for MvC3

Just a quick little update that speaks to the strong standard of excellence at Capcom these days. As rumored, otherwise omnipresent Dead Rising hero Frank West will not be in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, despite his silhouette’s appearance in the promotional art. MvC3 Producer Ryota Niitsuma says “We’ve taken him out, due to the fact that we’ve foreseen some extra work involved, just from the nature of his moves.”

So there you have it. It was too hard to program some zombie moves for their triple-A marquee fighting game sequel. Thanks guys.

He goes on to say that the incalculable man hours required to finish poor Frank were reallocated to more important tasks. Presumably adding more retarded Darkstalkers characters that nobody recognizes.

You’ve had 10 years to make this one, fellas. Let’s get it together.
